Graduating soon? From Swatch to Seiko to Rolex, we’ve categorized our graduation watch recommendations into three price categories!
The first price category is $100-$500. The first option is Swatch, a truly classic brand that offer some fun quartz watches right alongside some of the most technologically impressive automatic movements on the market in the form of the Sistem51. The second is Seiko, specifically the Seiko SARB033, one of the single most versatile, classy watches in existence.
Next up, we look into the price range from $2000 to $3500. The first option is the Universal Geneve Polerouter, a classic and timeless piece designed by Gerald Genta, the man responsible for two of the most iconic designs in horology – the Patek Philippe Nautilus and the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak. The second is the Rolex Datejust, a more substantial option than the Polerouter in terms of the Oyster Case, and the watch is downright the most versatile option on this list, and carries the cache of the Rolex name. As an honorable mention, we have the Cartier Tank Solo, a more formal option but equally as classic.
Finally, we move into the price point of $4,500-$6,500. First, we look at the NOMOS Zurich World Time, a beautiful watch with a superbly executed complication that, typically, involves far more complication in the dial design. It being NOMOS, however, the design is incredibly refined and truly embodies the Bauhaus philosophy that drives the brand’s other models. Last, we have the Grand Seiko SBGJ217, one of the Grand Seiko GMT models that is incredibly elegant in almost every way. It’s Zaratsu polished hands, its incredible case design, and superbly finished dial all offer some of the most impressive value arguably up to $10k.
