How To Style Vintage Watches: Rolex, Cartier, Omega

RANT&H | JULY 31, 2019

Today, Christian models four vintage watches alongside two beautiful custom jackets from Denis Frison! The first jacket is an Irish linen double breast, and the second is a houndstooth with peak lapels that is a bit louder and harder to match with, but incredibly stylish all the same.

Watch number 1 is a Rolex GMT Master 1675 on its original Oyster bracelet. Here, we pair is with the linen jacket, some classic light green chinos, a light striped Oxford shirt, and a pair of natural Ostrich Belgian shoes.

Next up is Christian’s Cartier Tank Americane, a relatively formal watch that, in spite of the brown leather strap dressing it down a bit, is still able to elevate the outfit. That outfit is the houndstooth jacket with a blue linen shirt, beige chinos, and some more conservative brown Belgians.

From there, we have a gold Omega Constellation, a classic and highly undervalued watch. A pair of light/white denim, tan horsebit loafers, and the linen again with the light blue linen shirt to give the entire outfit a bit less weight while maintaining a classic sense of style.

If you’re looking to be a bit bolder with it, swap out the Omega for an 18k yellow gold Day-Date on its President bracelet, swap the navy linen jacket for the houndstooth, and a pair of chocolate colored Belgians to pare down the busy nature of the jacket.
