Check it out in the watch shop!

In this episode, we review the watch recently purchased by a tasteful watch geek, Suellen! This is not something you see every day. In fact, it’s something I have only seen two other times over the last 3 years – it’s a vintage two-tone Rolex with an incredible rosy natural patina throughout its yellow gold bezel, crown, and bracelet.

Backing up, looking beyond the patina, it’s a Rolex Oyster Perpetual reference 1005 and, to me, it’s a lightning bolt of value. From its yellow gold fluted bezel and flawless champagne dial to its immaculate, original two-tone bracelet, it’s almost a no-brainer. Then when we take the natural patina that has developed throughout the gold into consideration, it’s a watch geeks dream – a rarity that no watch can mimic.

A vintage Rolex like this is one of the few material items that you can both enjoy for the rest of your life and, when the day comes, pass down to the next generation to do the same.
