The aviators choice – the Breitling Navitimer, one of the most iconic tool watches of all time. Made with no one but pilots in mind, it was the ultimate “flight computer”- literally a mashup of the two words “navigation and timer” – did you know that? Its dial is the obvious star. Recognizable from any distance, it’s the Navitimer. In most instances, the black base paint has faded and, in turn, muted the contrast. This one, however, is just stunning – it pops where it should, it’s bold. At 41mm, it wears markedly larger than any vintage Rolex sports watches, despite the mere mm between them. Still, it’s quite comfortable on my not quite seven-inch wrist. It’s thick steel case and wide beveled lugs make sure you know, in case you weren’t sure, that it’s not a one trick pony. It’s a monster, in a good way, and officially available in our vintage watch shop, so when you’ve finished the video, take a look at the listing!
