ROLEX “Kermit” Submariner Dropping in Value!

RANT&H | MAR 22, 2019

In this week’s episode of ASKTNH LIVE, Christian Takes YOUR questions LIVE via our Instagram (@theoandharris). Our first question is in regards to the 2018 release of the Rolex Pepsi GMT Master II in steel, and ultimately, it just lacks some of the interest that previous models have displayed in terms of funk and character. Next, we have a question regarding quartz, 33mm Audemars Piguet Royal Oaks, and whether they’re worth picking up. The watch is designed to be super thin and elegant, so the 33mm, especially in regard to the quartz movement aiding the thinness, is just a prime example of a watch that does exactly what it says on the tin.

From there, we tackle the things about vintage that make them so much more beloved than modern pieces to us at T&H, which really comes to loving the designs of older watches more, which apparently most of the brands do as well given the ration of modern reissues of classic pieces and designs. Not only that, but the stories they can tell equally aid in our endless appreciation. Our thoughts on the FP Journe Elegante are also requested, and we actually just made a video on the subject. In short, it’s kind of amazing.
