From The Curator
Haute horology of the 1930’s had a particular aesthetic. It was an age of compact elegance where watches, though small in diameter, had a relatively substantial thickness. The wearability of these cases, which manufacturers like Patek Philippe and Vacheron Constantin perfected, has kept them desirable nearly 100 years later.
And this piece, a Vacheron Constantin from 1936, is among the most special I’ve ever seen in its class. Beyond its incredible condition, what makes this particular piece so special is the placement of its crown. Nestled between its two top lugs, it makes sure not to obstruct the perfect design of the 18k yellow gold case.
Complete with an official extract from the archives, this vintage piece is an absolute wonder. Uber rare, immaculate, freshly serviced and ready for a very lucky new home.
And of course, it comes complete with a certificate of authenticity and appraisal and is shipped carefully and fully insured via UPS expedited service.
