Just before the turn into the 20th century, Angelus was born. For the next 70 years, the Angelus name would be synonymous with complicated, decadent mechanical movements envied throughout Switzerland. While the worlds favorites of their production models were chronographs out of the 50’s, they’ve become incredibly expensive, nearly unattainable. So, as I do, I’m looking for the next frontier – which has brought me to this watch. I mean, look at it – those magnificent blue leaf steel hands and they way they interact with the subtly speckled dial. And how about the buttery manually wound 251 in-house caliber? There’s no question, this watch is a winner and I couldn’t be more proud but to offer it here for you!
