From The Curator
Since 1833, Jaeger LeCoultre has been a leading innovator in the industry developing over 1200 calibers. Known widely for the Reverso with its Deco styling and durable design developed for polo players, it’s easy to forget JLC’s role as a supplier of military watches. Applauded for their legibility and reliability, their military models (and their civilian issued counterparts, like this one) were top of class in the middle of the 20th Century and now, over the last five, we’ve seeing a resurgence of appreciation for them.
Not only are they rare to find, especially in black, but they ride the line between dress and casual wear perfectly. This luxurious yet utilitarian piece, with its hand-wound movement, will remind you of expedition and adventure with every turn of the crown.
And of course, it comes complete with a certificate of authenticity and appraisal and is shipped carefully and fully insured.
