From The Curator
The Air King doesn’t get the credit it deserves. It’s a historically rich cornerstone to the Rolex name and frankly, hardly anyone knows. Conceived in the 1930’s to specifically serve the British Royal Air Force, the Air King has been synonymous with heroism (by the Rolex community) since.
This example, manufactured in 1989, is a wonderful piece of that history. Although it might not seem so, it embodies Rolexes original Air King vision, it’s simple, incredibly robust and substantial without ever being obtrusive. From its ever-reliable Oyster case to its stunning dagger hands, this Air King is a dream Rolex.
And of course, it comes complete with a certificate of authenticity and appraisal and is shipped carefully and fully insured.

About The Brand
Rolex is arguably the most famous brand in the world when it comes to luxury timepieces. Their brand equity is through the roof, and you’d be hard pressed to find another luxury watchmaker who can make watch geeks and non-geeks alike incredibly stoked. Their quality is second to none, and it makes sense that until this day, when someone thinks about James Bond, Magnum P.I. or Glengarry Glen Ross, they think of Rolex.
