From The Curator
Unpolished case, quickset date, two tone configuration and a diamond dial? Yes, this might just be the quintessentially opulent Datejust.
Backing up, there is something inherently powerful about a two-tone Datejust. It’s one of the most sought after watches in the world, after all. And the reference 16233 is the perfect bridge between vintage charm and modern reliability, upgrading the classic silhouette with a scratch resistant sapphire crystal and the bulletproof Caliber 3135 quick-set movement.
This 36mm example turns the volume all the way up with a sharp 18k yellow gold fluted bezel and a pristine champagne diamond dial. Yet, by taking it off its traditional bracelet and pairing it with a muted grey leather strap, it dresses the watch down just enough to make it an incredibly cool, versatile daily wearer without losing an ounce of its unapologetic swagger.
And of course, it comes complete with a certificate of authenticity and appraisal and is shipped carefully and fully insured.
