I’ve been at watch meet up’s alongside mint vintage Daytona’s, limited production Patek’s and ORIGINAL Lange One’s. At those events, money doesn’t impress a soul. You know what I wear when I’m looking to make a statement? A f*cking Timex. I wear a Timex because they’re designed with utter class in mind, they’re an AMERICAN brand (which is a very cool little bragging point) and they take a lickin’ and keep on tickin’.

About the maker
Lineage is important- read up

Timex – Arguably one of the most household names in horological history, Timex has been a prominent brand since its 1854 founding in Waterbury, Connecticut, US. Through its history, the brand has dominated the low-end, low-cost watch market by offering dependable, practical, and most often handsome pieces to a large mass of consumers. First gaining prominence in the 1880s by being one of the first manufacturers to mass produce watches, it later “made the dollar famous” with the creation of the $1 “Yankee” pocket watch, afterwards developing one of the first wristwatches for the US army during World War I and giving rise to their popularity in the years after the war. Later, during the 50s and 60s, the brand started to be known by its unceasing durability, and today it continues in this image as an iconic American brand for the everyman.
