Tudor Black Bay 58 Blue Review: The Modern Submariner Alternative?

Reviewing the newest addition to the Black Bay family of Tudor watches.

July 03, 2020

We’ve got our hands on the new Tudor Black Bay 58 in Navy Blue, the newest addition to the Black Bay family of Tudor watches. Could this be the ultimate modern-day Tudor “Submariner” fix? Is it worth all the internet-breaking hype? Let’s dig in.

Since its release, the Black Bay line really has been the line Tudor has become most synonymous with. And it’s hard not to be, when nearly everything the brand releases is a Black Bay in some way shape or form. The launch of the original 58 in 2018 is easily one of the best additions to this line, with its 39mm case being perhaps the most approachable dimensions of any in the line. The release of this new blue variant expands this even more, even though it may only be a color change on the surface, because it goes a long way in really creating an environment where there truly is a Black Bay for everybody.
