Today, we have the return of LIQUOR RUN!!! Christian and Rolly sit down and discuss some of the most undervalued luxury items, especially those in the watch industry. First up on the list is the value filled wines this series is known for. Today, we’re drinking E. Guigal Cotes Du Rhone, a value filled bottle of red from the southern Rhone region of France. For about $15 per bottle, it’s hard to beat. If you’re looking for something a bit bubblier, we have Veuve Clicquot, a champagne that is notoriously well-regarded and, especially at fine restaurants and clubs, supremely overpriced. Coming in near $100 a bottle if not more when out, the actual retail of a bottle of Veuve Clicquot is much closer to $40. Show up at a dinner party with a bottle of this, and you’re sure to be the resident hero of the night.

In the realm of watches, we of course have the Datejust (specifically, the references 1600, 1601, and 1603). It’s impossible to argue with the inherent value of the Rolex Datejust. At 36mm in diameter, with a more cushion profiled Oyster Case, it wears impressively well on more wrists than may initially give it credit. The range of executions is seemingly endless, and this goes a long way in just about guaranteeing that, no matter your taste, there is a perfect Datejust for you and your style. If the Datejust doesn’t quite fit the bill, you can always opt for a classic Explorer II, another highly value-filled timepiece with the added convenience of a GMT function, which makes it great for traveling or keeping track of the timezones of loved ones that do.

With travel accessories, many of us simply don’t travel ENOUGH to feel inclined to splurge on them. However, traveling comfortably goes a long way in making your trip more enjoyable overall, even after the plane lands or the train stops. Some serious credit must be given to the importance of a pair of solid noise-cancelling headphones, such as those from Bose or Klipsch. Along with the headphones, a pair of comfortable shoes are essential. Something like a Cole Haan Zero Gravity is ultra stylish without sacrificing comfort, and something like an Adidas Ultraboost or Samba gives you the support of a proper athletic shoe. And of course, a well-made strapped backpack with plenty of pockets and storage space goes a long way as well.
