FROM THE CURATOR
Not only is its dial mint, case sharp and movement immaculate but this reference 1002 comes along with some really important goodies.
In 1973, this Rolex 1002 was purchased by the Coca-Cola company and gifted to a Mr. William Bond for his 25 years of service to their Baltimore bottling branch. Since, it’s been scarcely touched – retaining not only its sharp original finish to its 14K yellow gold case but its clean factory dial but its Rolex buckle, hang tags, outer box, inner box, chronometer paperwork and Oyster pamphlets. This is the type of vintage watch that I will talk about for a very long time, it’s one of the best I’ve ever owned and I couldn’t be more proud.
And of course, it comes complete with a certificate of authenticity and appraisal and is shipped carefully and fully insured via UPS expedited service.
ABOUT THE BRAND
Rolex is arguably the most famous brand in the world when it comes to luxury timepieces. Their brand equity is through the roof, and you’d be hard pressed to find another luxury watchmaker who can make watch geeks and non-geeks alike incredibly stoked. Their quality is second to none, and it makes sense that until this day, when someone thinks about James Bond, Magnum P.I. or Glengarry Glen Ross, they think of Rolex.
